Model Answer:
Advertisements are made to attract the attention of the targeted audience to promote or increase sales of any specific goods, products or services. Making of an advertisement is really difficult and requires special sort of expertise as well. They are made in various attractive locations while the locations expose unknown information to the viewers. I do agree with the statement for the following reasons.

Making an advertisement is a huge task. Selecting a location is one of the most important jobs that you need to do first. The locations describe a good deal of information about the place. For instance, when advertisements are made in locations, people get ideas about the place. Sometimes, the advertisements also show us the local customs and cultures. When the shooting is done in a warm area, we can see that the clothing is different from those of a frostier place.

Besides, some of the countries are naturally beautiful. When the advertisements are filmed in those lands, audiences get some ideas about the beauty of the land. The ad-makers try to catch the best places of the land so that it attracts the attention of the audience. And in reality, it happens so. The advertisements get attracted not only for the products’ promotion, the locations have something different to say here.

To make the matter simpler, a country is described very well through advertisements. This is a great way to know about a land. Usually, the advertisements come with information about the place it shoots. It also provides the necessary information about a place which is unknown and tries to make it informative for the audience. For instance, if I say the country name - Germany, someone may not comprehend the issue. But if I say Mercedes Benz cars are made in Germany, it would be easier for all to understand. The car manufacturer has represented Germany in such a way that we know the country and certain features of the land without studying geography.

To conclude, this is transparent that advertisements tell us lots of things about a country. As audiences, we have the chances to know important and unknown matters from the advertisements.
